Kirtan Masala releases their first CD with 9 beautiful songs. The songs are directed towards Ganesha, Shiva, Amman, Krishna, etc and bring out love and joy. It is a polyphonic choir combined with conga, harmonium, guitar and qanun. A real sing-along or to meditate on.

We are so happy to share our album "Amrita" with you. We are Kirtan Masala and the adventure started about 26 years ago. Our guruji Swami Premananda had centers all over the world. There we learned to chant, to sing devotional songs like kirtan, bhajan and mantras. It was wonderful to experience the fire in our hearts with the (youth) groups while singing with dedication. During a celebration of Navaratri, Turkantam came to join us on the last day, Vijaya Dashami. He heard us sing and urged us to make our own album. This only took shape when Danny/Gopal - yoga teacher and musician, joined us with percussion and vocals. During the first lockdown period he was our regular contact and together we made some streams with kirtan covers. Magic arose, a very deep peace that made us long for more. In the meantime, inspiration grew for both Lieve/Shankari and Johan/Hari and the melodies and lyrics came to life. During rehearsal we invited Lisa/Ananda - used to sing in a reggae group and is a fervent yogini - to join us. We had performed with her before. You will find Cuban influences in Danny's percussion. Lisa's nice vocal lines also bring a special touch to the beautiful songs. During rehearsals, the songs took shape. We also thank Lieve/Shankari for the many studio work and designs of the CD cover and all the digital work together with Turkantam. We also thank Turkantam for the musical support with guitar and Osama for the musical support for the Shiva Kirtan "Bam Bam Bhole". It is a very nice album with both kirtan, mantras and bhajan. Kirtan Masala is a mixed bag of musicians from different (Masala) backgrounds. Enjoy it as we always do and experience it.

Singing devotional songs is so important as there is no negative energy in it. It is the sounds that resonate with our chakras. In this way our chakras are cleansed and liberated. Singing to a deity reminds us of our own divine vibration and brings us into the now. When we see Hindu gods, it is not the outer shape, but the symbolism that is important so that we know what this shape stands for and where we are drawn to. Mirroring is the key to self-love. So awaken in your beautiful being, where love is the reflection from the source. May this energy shine in your purest being. We wish you a lot of patience, strength and love to realize this.
